[dsn_klr650] these tires any good?
Are those DOT knobbies? Are they even street legal? I was thinking that the K257's were a pure dirt knob, in which case they would wear REALLY fast on the street, and would be dangerous too. Look on the sidewall for "DOT".

dunlop d905, d903, k139 or pirelli mt21
Borg,
I need some help deciding on a new Front Tire.
I like my rear... its big, wide and comfy. My Rear Tire is excellent too, D606
Well I'm ordering a new set of skins today and am torn between the Dunlop
D903, D905, K139 and the Pirelli MT21.
I ride mixed hard, rocky and sandy terrain. I also love to drag pegs so
road grip is a good thing. The D606 is on my buddy's KLR along with my
MT21, he's actually buying new ones for me today. I love the MT 21 in the
dirt. I went peg draggin last night and found that the MT21 was
predictably wobbly at high speeds, high lean angles and on pavement.
Not anything to worry about but if the D903 in particular is better than
the MT21 then I might give it a try.
Any Experiences? The archives are exhaustive but I couldn't find any one
who has tried the D903 or D905.
The 903 is more to my liking than the other Dunlops based on description
and price. The 905 is more for soft terrain.
and the 139 is ~$10 more than the MT21. The 139 sounds like a great tire
though... $10 worth it better than the others?
This horse is not dead....
TIA

[dsn_klr650] these tires any good?
Seeing as my riding is most likely going to be more onroad than offroad, what about the idea of replacing my tires with stockers from DualStar? I need a dependable set of rubber that won't surprise me, as I'm still learning to manage this beast!
