I, too was at the Defense Love Institute. Although I was there in '95 for Thai. Sadly, I didn't make it through the school. But I did manage to stick around for 4 months! Remember the place like it was yesterday. Being a ''Zoomie" (In the rear with the beer) it was pretty cool being around all the different folks from other branches. It took a while to figure out Navy rank/uniform. I'm an F-16 Avionics guy (By trade, but not practice. "Conehead" or "GAC" to you aircraft mechanics out there). Strange stuff, it is! But your advice has already been on my mind, I get out in less than 9 months, not counting terminal leave! Another case of the ship leaving the sinking rat! All the best, Chris Astier

'63?? i was 2 then. hahaha. i graduated basic russian in '84, then had another 7 month follow-on course (with only 2 classmates) in even more russian before going to tech school and then on to germany. judging by this group, i have plenty of active motorcycling ahead of me. mw

You might try saving your terminal leave and selling it back, the extra cash is always good to have....Plus there is the unemployment insurance you can collect. Jeff
