Hi Whitworth Heads,

According to today's Wall Street Journal, on-line auctions such as eBay, are
experiencing a rising percentage of fraud complaints. Shilling and
shielding techniques go undetected and unpunished. Its not in the best
interest of the auction house to make a big deal about it and their attempts
at investigation are very low key.

I agree with Morris and another recent post about MG parts auctions and
"what's it worth to you?" questions. While I enjoy the entertainment value
of live auctions as fund raisers at club events, references to personal
posts on eBay seem driven by pure commercialism without regard to
"fraternity".

Cheers, Peter
