Dear All,
Previously, I have suggested that contributors to the site add their
geographic location. It is a very easy thing to do, doesn't cost a
thing. You never know, some of our friends in trouble, without knowing
it, may have the best MG mechanic on the list living in the next street.
It also would help inasmuch as we would know the climatic conditions
that inquirers might encounter. There's a lot of difference between
India and Alaska, service providers addresses like aol can cover a lot
of territory!

Hi T Typers, I have been following the threads for some time now and after sorting out my computor connections, its about time to write. I am a new (old) owner of a TC. When I was 18yrs old (in 1959) and needed a car for mobility. My Father offered to finance me ino a car. We finally located 2 cars I liked.YES! one a clipper blue TC and the other a BRG Standard Flying 8 both 1948 models, anyway as the usual story goes my father suggested in the nicest way that I buy the Standard...his remarks where..if you buy the TC you may not live for a long time ,but if you buy the Standard etc........ I really enjoyed the Standard but vowed to buy a TC. Now 1998 I purchased my TC 4417 and now I am having real FUN. But its funny because now i have been fortunate enough to own an MGA in good condtion and an MGSA whcih needs a total rebuild.. I am a member of the Western Australian MG TCOC and its a wonderful club to be involved with. Anyway my location: At the moment I am working at CASEY station in the Antarctica (66.13S 110.32E) and so if any of you are passing by,just drop in you are most welcome. Always a cold beer at hand. As far as the originality thread goes ..I beleive that Cecil Kimber made these cars to be driven "Safety Fast".. then thats IT.... we drive and enjoy the cars but most of all we enjoy the fellowship of like minded people whether its origial or not.
