Abingdon body panels

About 25 years ago, Abingdon Spares was already offering wood pieces
which were being made in Canada and they wished to start producing sheet
metal panels as well. At the time, I happened to have my own car
disassembled for it's second restoration and my body tub was in quite
good original condition. I offered the use of my body tub as pattern
material and Abingdon shipped it to whomever was making the panels.
I don't know about the gauge of metal that was used but I like to think
that anyone rebuilding a TC using Abingdon panels is, in effect,
building a replica of MY car.
