Roger and Chip have a good point.
As one of the newer members, I would indeed appreciate the opportunity to query the list for items that I will need as I resurrect my TC. But it makes sense that these aren't items readily available from one of the T-series supply houses.
Also, If someone has a surplus item then it would also be appreciated to know of its availability.
But if no one on the list has shown interest in an item, such as the Laystall head Roger mentioned, then maybe it would be fair game to utilize eBay if the seller needed to move the item quickly, etc.
Members that have many T-ABC series items for sale could perhaps put a notice to the membership that a list is available and those interested could contact the seller directly.
And for members that aren't interested in these emails, we can help them out by listing in the email subject area "TC part for sale" or TC part wanted", etc, then it is easy to delete without opening.
But at any rate, we are all at different stages in this hobby and hopefully the list members can appreciate the diverse needs of the group.
Thanks for your consideration-

which an elderly gent here in England wishes to dispose of. He bought it for
his 1500 TF (which he still has) but never fitted. There was a distinct lack
of interest, but was this because nobody wanted it (at half the price of a
new repro item), or because it was not thought the "done thing" to advertise
on the list?
Some of the newer members especially might be desparately seeking an item
that others of us have surplus to requirements. I have already told young
Awini in Delhi that I may be able to help him (if you recall- he is lacking
the complete front axle assembly).

Well put Chip! Some while back I mentioned an UNUSED ORIGINAL LAYSTALL HEAD>>> "Roger Furneaux" 04/29/00 01:48pm >>>
