During my teenage years I was enamored with British sports cars. My first
car, at age 16, was a 1970 Triumph GT6 which was 4 years old at the time.
About three or four years ago I came across a nicely restored 1960 MGA with
an 1.8 ltr 3 main MGB engine that just needed a little sorting and tweaking.
Shortly after that I came across a 1938 MGTA when one of my vendors was
closing down. It was an import export firm and apparently the owners father
had accepted several collectable cars in lieu of payment from a customer in
England. The car had been sitting since the late seventies but was otherwise
in excellent shape. I rebuilt the fuel and hydraulic systems and have been
driving it ever since.
As you can see from my MGA I am not a stickler for originality. In fact I
personally I am shy one appendix, two tonsils, and four wisdom teeth. In
addition I have recontoured my corneas. I did these things strictly for ease
of operation and maintenance and to better deal with the pace of today's
traffic...I mean life.
