lister's ages

OK, so this entire thread was a test to see how many T owners would
contribute their 2 cents until the cleric Derek could no longer stand it and
point out that it had nothing to do with the technicality of the cars, just
the age of their owners. For what it's worth, I think we got to around 30.
By the way, I for one enjoy the banter!
Sorry, mrbadger, but here's my story:
I was 14 (1963) when my father took me to a used car of a dealership in
Cranston (still in existence) to decide between a TD and an MGA for him. To
keep this short, I chose the 1951 TD 6551. I got to drive it in and out of
the garage until I turned 16 and could drive it more regularly. I bought it
from him in 1970, and still drive it today. It resides in the garage next
to the very young 1949 TC 10217.
Sold a TA Tickford (real basket) in 1978 and replaced it with the TC which I
found in a barn so disassembled that I wasn't sure what kind of MG it was,
and spent the following 13 years restoring it as the budget would allow.
I drive both of them year round as weather permits. Just as a coincidence,
the TD is my wife's age and the TC is mine.
