I was about 20 when I bought my TC. The first MG I recall seeing was the
TD my neighbor bought when I was 9. Was BRG and I knew that was the car
for me. When I was 14, before I could drive, I bought a Singer, which
loosely resembled a TD, and I paid the owner back by mowing lawn his
lawn until the $70 price was paid off. Sold the car to a buddy who also
loved TD's. Was turned on to TC's and bought one when I was about 20 for
$900 in I think 1968. Am 52 now with the same TC. It is one year younger
than I. Many other cars have come and gone (59 Bug Eye, 61 Lotus 7, 48
MGYA among them) but the TC stays.
