I'll bet Dollars to doughnuts there was some stitch countin' goin' on
last night in some quiet garages.

Stitches for the T Type Hood,

A careful analysis of old hoods, new reproductions, and dramatically
enlarged photographs produced the answer that the stitching must be to a
non standard specification, neither Imperial or Metric! I suspect some
historical anomoly or bought in foreign or ex ministry equipment after the
war (such as the Hotchkis equipment producing metric threads on Whitworth
Bolt and Nut heads) could be responsible.

Over to the Pseudo historians as I'm not taking this one further and April
1st has long passed...
