egroup profile and Cairn book

Post by David Edgar » Wed Feb 23, 2000 12:01 pm

Jim Shade indicated that we should post our profiles on the egroup page.
I went to the web site indicated and it did not recognize my personal
email address/password and wanted me to register. It appeared that
registering would create a new list. Am I doing something wrong?
Web site I went to was
http://www.egroups.comGroupMembersPage?listName=mg-tabc
Just what does creating a profile do?

Giving up on that I went to the T ABC web site to see Neil Cairn's book in
PDF format. Went to special files as indicated and again was asked for
login name and password. I was refused entry. What login name do we use,
our personal one or some other? Where do we get or create our password?

Maybe the computer and I just don't get along. I seem to have more fun
driving the TC anyway. Toured up in the TC from San Diego to Santa Monica
for a TC Motoring Guild event of flying kites on Sunday. The drive up was
great except for some rain. Put up the hood (twin windows and all) for
the first time in several years (OK, I wimped out). The drive home was
three hours of heavy down pour. The hood kept out most of the water, the
operative word being "most." The drive was still great though.

The weather broke and we had a window of dry streets yesterday, Tuesday,
so back into the TC we jumped after work and did a run up to Montrose for
the TC Motoring Guild's monthly meeting. Two and a half hours up in top
down weather was refreshing even if it was through LA traffic. Two hours
at the meeting and then back home by 12:30 a.m. was a little exausting
(especially since we had to go to work this morning) but driving the TC
so much lately reminded me of why I bought it in the first place - IT IS
JUST PLAIN FUN!
