Try fitting the electric push button starter switch on a right angle bracket
mounted to the bolt that holds the steering column to the under dash
mounting bracket.
This enables the original starter pull switch to be retained (unused) and
the dash to remain original looking. The starter switch is easy to operate
and is out of sight. If the original fibre board type cover is retained the
switch can be operated through the hole where the steering column goes
through.

As an alternative to the TD/TF switch, you might consider a bugeye
Sprite switch. It is a cable operated switch so you could use the
original TC starter pull to operate it. Without really investigating, I
would think that a bracket off of the upper starter mounting bolt would
be the best location for it.

BTW, when I bought my TC 7387, it had a Ford solonoid and a pushbutton
switch on it. It seems to start a little bit better now that I have
returned to the original mechanical switch. I don't think the car was
very happy with the extra current required to activate the solonoid even
though it probably wasn't that much. Since you are using a TF starter,
that might not be as big a problem.

My TA is set up this way, the switch is in the tool box with the terminals
covered with rubber boots. It is located so that the pull is straight on, no
friction. Might work on the tC too....
