Hi Bill, there is no known issue with the site. It is regularly scanned both internally and externally for every known type of malware and virus and all reports are currently clean. There was a server attack some time ago that you may recall where our site (and many others) were briefly infected with malware but that has long since been remedied. Your scanner may not have removed its blacklist setting for the TABC site from back then. Rest assured the site is safe, and in fact is currently undergoing some content updates.

In the meantime I will check with various referrers to make sure no one has a false report on the site. Thanks for the heads up on that.

Subject: [mg-tabc] Altette Horn I have just run across an Altette horn that looks identical to the one
on my TC, except that there is no depression in the rear. Other minor
differences are a single nut on front instead of double, and a thicker
mounting bracket. Otherwise they look the same.

Does anyone know what type of car this horn would be appropriate for?

Altette Horn

Post by arm@telus.net » Fri Nov 29, 2019 6:31 am

Greetings all!

My altette has been a lovely adornment for many, many years and I recently decided to try to get it functional. I d/l'd the altette service bulletin and quickly realized that mine is not the same as the ones discussed in the bulletin. The front looks correct but the rear is quite different. I have been pointed to "Taff The Horn" and have perused his site but haven't contacted him. Before I do a complete tear down I wondered if there was a specialist on this side of the pond. Any one know?

Further, I'd appreciate a photo of the BACK of a correct TC altette. I may contact TAFF to help me identify what I have and, if it comes to that have him repair or exchange. It's time to blow my own horn. (sorry, hehehe)

Cheers
