Lots of good stuff there, but I wonder if it is all still available? If you
have placed an ad please let me know if it is still available. If I do not

=====Here's a little about our eGroups site

Here are a few things you might need to know to help you get the most out of
our egroups site.

In addition to the message posts and our T-ABC website, we also have a web
page provided by eGroups which contains searchable records of past posts as
well as a
complete member directory.

You can use the eGroups web page to change the way you receive group
messages. You must register with eGroups to access the T-ABC page. If you
haven't yet registered with egroups, go to: http://www.egroups.com/register

eGroup registration will allow you access to our web page at:
http://www.egroups.com/group/mg-tabc

At the left side of the page you'll find a list of active links - select
(click on) these links to access web page features , among which are:

MESSAGES - A complete archive of past posts, with a search function. You
can search member names, topics or key words. This archive contains a vast
store of knowledge about many subjects which have been covered in past
discussions. You may find an answer faster by searching the archive than
you will with a new post.

TO CHANGE THE FORMAT IN WHICH YOU RECEIVE GROUP POSTS - You can specify the
way you receive group mail. Choices are: Individual emails - Messages are
delivered one at a time to your email inbox; Daily Digest - Messages are
delivered in batches of 25 or daily, whichever comes sooner; No Mail / Web
Only - This option puts email message delivery on hold, for example while
you are on vacation. If message archives are available, this option also
permits you to read messages at the eGroups Web site.
To set any of these options, go to My Groups and choose from the drop-down
list of message delivery options for your group.

This TC was my first car. I bought it in 1954 from a shop that raced TCs.
They had four cars but only raced three, so they sold me the "slow" parts,
and helped me assemble them into a semi complete car. Over the years, I've
sold it twice, but I've bought it three times so it is still part of the
family. My motoring experience is very catholic, including everything from
Citroens to Ferraris. I've learned that I am probably the world's worst
mechanic, but I love driving sporting machines. I have a new Harley-Davidson
that reminds me of what MG could have been if they had continued to be stuck
in the 30s. It's primitive but wonderful.

For the past 27 years, I've been in the Car Cover business. I have great
experience & expertise in car covers, and general cosmetic car care. My
business offers custom fit TC covers in 11 fabrics from $74.00 to club
members. No one can offer a softer* or more water repellent* or better
warrantied* cover than North Coast Tarpaulin Works. (*This is , of course,
not all the same fabric.)

I will be happy to try to field any car care questions. If I don't know the
answer, I'll admit it.

Jim, this sounds like a variation of the old Chinese philosopher who say:

If tree fall in middle of forest and nobody there to hear it, does it still
make a sound???

keep on trucking

Roger this is NOT a Chinese problem!!! It is MUCH more serious.

The answer to Jim's conundrum is of course YES, but I am sure he already knew
that.

he twisted my arm to take a look at the 'mg-tabc' web site. Having done
so I thought I would enrol myself!!

My interest in MG's first started , although I have always been interested in
cars, began when I found out that my father in law had owned and MGTA during
the Second World War. He had the car when he was 18 in 1939 and owned the
car right through to 1952 when my wife was born. I have tried to trace his
car but it seems to have disappeared, probably scrapped, in the early 60's.
However I did have a letter and some photos of the car in the mid fifties
when it was owned for a short period by Mike Ellman-Brown whose book MG
Collectibles may be known to you.. I also spoke to the last, positively
known, owner of the car but his recollection of what happened to it was very
vague. If anyone sees it out there, it was TA 2531 Engine MPJG 2774.
