I notice Andrew has posted some photographs of the TC 60th Birthday
hosted by the T Register of the MG Car Club of Victoria. So I thought
I would add some background information. The event began with over 50
TCs driving in convoy from the clubrooms to the winery along a major
highway - about an hours drive. Quite a sight. TCs nose to tail as far
as the eye could see. Once at the winery they were joined by an
additional 60 or so, making a total of over 110 TCs - not bad for a
car that is 60 years old.

Cars came from all over Victoria, one joined us from Queensland -
driven mind you, not towed - and as is so typical of the TC 'clan'
were in all stages of tune, condition and originality.

Regalia, designed specifically for the day, was on sale at the site
and by the end of the day some AUD 6,000 worth of shirts, caps and
radiator badges had been sold.

For once the Melbourne weather was kind and people were able to renew
friendships, talk about their cars or simply relax in the sun with a
good bottle of wine.

Overall a great day with a large number of great little cars
