hello Madhu - just a small correction, the overflow plug on the RHS of the
diff. is hexagonal, the drain plug at the bottom of the casing is square.
The "Brown Book" says 2 pints (which is 40 fl. oz. or 1/4 Olde English
Gallon) or 1.1 litres (actually 1.137)
Incidently, the original drain plug has a silly little square head that only
an adjustable spanner/wrench will fit, so I made new ones with a larger head
sized for a 1/4" BSF open spanner. Also, they have little magnets fitted,
which certainly collect plenty of powdered steel. Buy direct from me, or
Abingdon Spares.
BTW, my previous challenge to Carl Ord of Moss UK (on the list as Carl
Bradford, to explain why they sell a totally
incorrect drain plug, went unanswered. How about it Carl (and do you want
to buy any correctly threaded ones)???
