vibration?

Need some help. Had the old bucket out yuesterday and I'm getting a
vibration at 40 mph. You can drive through it at about 45 but it is
annoying. I tried rotating the tires and adjusting the front brakes
(possibly a dragging brake?) I gave a quick look to tie rod ends etc
everything seems fine. I'm about to check toe-in etc. and the tie rod
ends again. Anyone have any ideas.
After 40 years of ownership I have also thought about selling the TC. I
think I'm just tired of it. Anyone out there interested? Lots of spares
including extra engine, gearbox and more!!!!!

Jay; How long had the (OLD BUCKET) been setting. It sounds like a flat spot on the tires. You sell that car after 40 years and I predict that you will be lonely and desolate for parting with a friend. I did it after 18 years with a VA tourer and I am sorry.

Hello Jay,

Sandy is right! A friend in the UK sold his TC (and bought a ZB Varitone) and
regrets letting the TC go to this day! He sold it in 1966!

And I add

More than likely it was your and the TC's hearts pumping in hopeful
anticipation of spending a few more years' future pleasures together!

Jay,

Check the runout on the wheels. Are there broken/loose spokes? Try
rotating the wheels.
