To all in Katrina's Path,
My thoughts and prayers with all who are in the path of this mighty "Bitch" that
bears down on the Gulf Coast, Mississippi (Phew, Spelled that correctly!), Mobile (AL) and New Orleans (LA)!
Hope all in the MardiGra-T Club of the Big Easy fare well!
Best Regards,
Bruce Collins

Katrina
Has anyone heard from Gene Gillam(Saucier, Miss) and Jim Doughetry (New
Orleans)? This devastation is cataclysmic!

Re: Katrina
The info out of N.O. is pretty ugly, with fires burning out of control, and
80% of the city flooded.
Best,

Re: Katrina
All,
I spoke with Gene and Anne Sunday evening. At that time they were braced and
ready for the worst.
I never got through to Jim Doherty but he had sent his family North and he
and his dog were going to wait it out. Jim, live IN New Orleans.
Gene and Anne live about fourteen mile from Gulfport. My wife (Amy) and I
had just visted him the weekend before (8/19). They
were nice to take us to New Orleans "French Quarter" that Saturday. Amy and
I have never been to the Gulf let alone the Big Easy.
As you may know.... hardest hit was Gulfport and only now are the Levves
failing and N.O. is filling up.
I have been constantly trying to call Gene to make certain all is well (or
as best as could be). If I
do get through to him I will let the site know. If any do get through I
certainly would appreciate
hearing from you. I don't think they come much finer than Gene Gillam and
his lovely wife, Anne!
Please take a momment and say a prayer for them and to all that are being
effected by such a storm
as Katrina.
Thanks,
Bruce (Collins)
