Hi Terry & other transmission teeters, My 5-speed tranny has over 16,000 miles on it in past 12 months since installed. Even though it has, since 'new', had a little pop-out-of-2nd issue, I would do the conversion again in a Abingdon minute!! Advantages: noise, syncro, noise, rpms, noise, speed, noise. Being not a purest but rather an aging gent who appreciates the physical comforts our little Tees can afford us, for me putting in the 5 speed was a no-brainerrrr.
