Roger, It's all a bit of a "Chinese puzzle". By the time the various suitors have finished fighting amongst themselves the competition will have moved on and swallowed up the market. Further potential "elephant traps" could be Honda (who, apparently still 'own' something?) and, I think, BMW (don't they own the brand and it's merely on loan?). It's a bit like trying to wade through treacle to get to buy your 'Chinese takeaway'!
