I first went to the Hamptons in the early '70s. I am pretty sure that the
museum was already closed. You could see the old quonset hut just off the
Montauk highway north of the village of Southampton.
I was back there a few years ago and not much was changed. Just more
overgrown.

As I sit here in my office looking at one of the 4 Automobile Quarterly "The
Magnificent M.G."
posters, there is a 1948 MG TC from the Long Island Automotive Museum. I
went there as a kid
and still have the pamphlet. While I don't think the museum still exists,
does anyone know what
happened to (or own) that TC?
