TC sheet metal re-bending

As I stated in my previous question, I have all of the sheet metal removed from TC 2850. I found rust where the sheet metal comes in contact with the wood frame. When I re-assemble the body tub, I will need to re-bend some of the "lips". Is there a product that I can rust proof the metal with that will bend and not crack during re-installation? (POR15?) Thanks again, Tom, TC2850, disassembled [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

There are plenty of high tech (read expensive) rust proofing paints, primers etc. out there and everyone has a favorite. I have found that a couple of coats of plain old Rustoleum red oxide, rusty metal primer works fine for this sort of use. It is fairly soft and does not crack when the metal is bent a bit. Easily applied with a brush. I have used the stuff for years on Morgan body tub sheet metal and it lasts just fine. cheers, S.Stierman TC 2911 --- TMcNam4510@aol.com wrote:
