Dave and Jim:
After Dave's posting today indicating different information than I
received by phone from Moss last week, I e-mailed Moss requesting a
definitive answer. I received an answer in short order from Kelvin Dodd
as follows:
"The manufacturer of the supercharger unit we have been using in our
150-008 has discontinued the unit. The required minimum order to put
the unit back into production and the anticipated cost are far too high
to make that option possible.
The manufacturer has supplied us with an alternative unit which uses a
more modern rotor group. We have been able to fit this to our MG TD,
but there are some major tuning problems that we are still working on
due to the increased efficiency of the rotor group.
We have a number of ideas that are being tried to solve the tuning
problem, but are not able to offer any release date at this time.
Please let your membership know that we are also very interested in
bringing the supercharger kit back to market, but we want to ensure good
drivability before releasing it."
I asked Kelvin to advise me by e-mail when a release date has been
determined and I will post it to the list. In the meantime I'm keeping
an eye out for alternatives such as the Judson.

Hiro Nishio in Japan (he's on the MMM list) is using a
very small (palm size he says) supercharger on his
racing J2 special which was featured in, I think,
Safety Fast recently. Apparently they are available
on Ebay for a reasonable price.
