Hello Bob, If you go to the MG Car Club T Register website www.tregister.org http://www.tregister.org/> and then go to the Totally T-Type section and open up the latest issue (May 2005 Issue 9) you will find a little article on fitting an E-clip on page 30. The E-clip I fitted is 1 in diameter. If you rotate the clip so that it looks like an E, the middle bar of the E is a lug (as we call it in the UK don t know what it is called elsewhere in the globe) which measures 5/16 . The two narrowest distances between the curved top and bottom bars of the E are 5/8 and 9/16 respectively. The thickness of the E-clip is 1/16 . Having given this tortuous description it might have been easier to send one across the pond to you. If you let me have your address I will send you one by snail mail .
