Gas/petrol tank slushing

Gents, I am about to seal a tank and I inherited with the car some of Moss's slushing compound and the bio cleaner but not the etching compound. Does anyone know what this is? I'm assuming its just phosphoric acid similar to metal etch available from paint stores of which I have plenty. Thanks Terry [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
