Scuttle top

Post by TMcNam4510@aol.com » Wed May 18, 2005 6:54 pm

The adventure continues..........OK, upon removal of the dashboard I have discovered that I need to replace the inner dash. In order to do this, it appears that the scuttle top has to come off. What the heck holds it in place? Where the heck are the screws? Does the scuttle, (read firewall), have to come off? Mikes book does not seem to go into this, he just (oh no!) rebuilt the entire tub. Thanks in advance. Tom TC 2850, disassembled [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

The scuttle is held into place buy nails on the firewall side and is leaded on each side above the doors. Sometimes they nailed the area under the lead. Use a propane torch and wire brush to remove the lead. Bob TC 6198 TC 5894 [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
