Trailer Help

Post by DougPulver@aol.com » Sun May 15, 2005 6:56 pm

Looked at a very nice and inexpensive trailer yesterday which had been used to haul MGs and even a big Healey. It has two U shaped tracks for the tires/wheels to ride in and is apparently not adjustable. Inside track is 43 inches, outside track is 58.5 inches. Total length of the tracks is 11 feet, so that dimension appears fine. I just measured the inside of my TC and TF tires and it appears that they are 42 inches apart. Does this sound right and does that then logically mean I shouldn't use the trailer for hauling either of these two cars? Any other suggestions - apart from "drive your car"? Thanks. Doug, Your measurements sound right. I have a friend with a similar situation. On his trailer the rails are bolted on, not welded so he plans on unbolting the rails and moving them in a few inches. How are the rails attached on "your" trailer? Regards, Charles Hill DougPulver@aol.com wrote:
