Grill badge / false nose

Time for another dumb question. Is the false nose on the grill
attached by the badge? There's a rubber bumper MG badge or something
similar on my car and I can't see behind it to find whatever is
holding it on. I assume it's a nut just like the proper badge but I
shouldn't assume. I really want to get this thing off! Help!

Yes the false nose is held on via a long stud attached to the back of the
radiator medallion. Stud goes through the false nose, the shell, and if I
remember right (its been many years) then through an attached tab to the
false nose). Held on with a nut on the back. You gotta take the shell off
to get to it and tighten.

"You gotta take the shell off to get to it and tighten."
I was really hoping to not hear those words today. Guess I'll drive
around with the MGB badge for a few days.
