Now that the engine is out of TC 2850 I can plainly see that the foot ramp
is bolted on with an assortment of 1/2 inch hardware. Some go in, some go
out. I can see that a couple hold the radiator stays and there are nuts welded
onto the ramp to hold the bolts. What size and length should the bolts be
and what is the proper color? I did not find the information in Mike sherrils
book, but perhaps I missed it? Also, same question for the firewall,
(scuttle), bolts. Mike says they are correct in black, but is this true for a gray
scuttle? Thanks, Tom TC 2850.

Re: foot ramp
Tom, go to the TABC web site and check the technology files. There is a
comprehensive listing of TC body bolts there.
As for the color of the firewall to tub bolts, I think black is correct
for the early deep fluted firewalls and on the later shallow fluted
firewall, they were painted body color along with the firewall.
