Tom I mounted my fuel filter in exactly the same place you suggested that Banjo try. It's been there for over three Mississippi summers and has never caused a problem with vapor lock. Since it's just taking the place of a short piece of copper pipe, still horizontal along the frame, I don't see how it could cause any problems. Best, Gene -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Thanks Gene; I was thinking I screwed up the copper tubing. I get an immediate reaction of fuel starvation when I forget to check under the near side and see how much trash can be seen inside the glass tube. It takes less than 10 minutes to clean out the filter. So far I have not had a vapor lock problem, but we have not hit the 90 degree heat level. The trash looks like rust but it is just plain dirt.
