This is from an internet correspondent that is known to Cleveland Sport Car
Club.
He is looking to sell a project car . An MGTC! The car is in Western WA.
I started restoring it about ten years ago. I've moved three times since
then and it's a project I probably will never get back to. Stripped to the
frame, it's in a million pieces. All the metal was stripped, have new tub
wood and sheet metal. Tub wood is assembled, no metal applied though.
Doors, fenders, cowl, and such are rough but useable.
Engine is rebuilt, gearbox and diff are fine, have new seals is all.
Polished all the aluminum bits, rechromed windshield and a few parts that
were not available new.
Wheels are chromed and relaced with stainless by Baronni in LA. Instruments
rebuilt.
I spent about 12-grand on new parts, plus a couple thou in rebuilding costs.
Virtually every piece of rubber, wiring, chrome, brakes, and such, is new.
Shocks rebuilt, and so on.
Also, new black top, side curtains, carpets, gray leather interior, and a
new burl walnut dash that's more like a piece of art.
I'm asking $8,500.
