Thanks for all the help with my trouble. The wheels were properly fixed with cones as on the car and they ran true. I think it s a problem with the tyres and with these modern dynamic balancing machines. The tyres will last one more season and then I will look out for some Dunlops. But the idea with a bubble balancer sounds good. I have a brief idea how it could look but any ideas where I can buy one??? Octagonally Rolf

Rolf there are modern wheel balance machines that have correct adaptors for mounting dunlop type wire wheels, also there may be shops that have made their own adaptors . Joe [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
