Hi group ,, I have a friend restoring a TD dashboard with vinyl. Is the vinyl cut to the edge of th glovebox opening , or is it pulled and glued to the edge , then trimmed with the chrome trim. It seems to me it would be cut right to the edge. also what covers the inside of the glove box door ? The dash board and all the chrome trim are from Abingdon Spares, I don't think there were instructions. Kevin TC 4936 Traverse City, MI [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

The vinyl is pulled to the edge, glued, cut and pleated, to fit the curve of the opening. The chrome strip conceals the vinyl (rexine). The inside of the glove box door was also covered. However, with the glove box door, the vinyl was cut and trimmed to the contour of the door, with excess material extending 1/2 way across the edge of the door. With front and back vinyl pieces in place, only a single thickness of vinyl is then held in place by the chrome strip. John Seim Irvine, CA Kevin Brinkerhoff wrote:

Gentlemen it is with this outlook that would have kept plumbing out of doors. Remember the protests when MG abandoned their OHC engine for the TA pushrod engine. Joe [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
