Group- info for all those that inquired, here is the story. In 1996 I bought a group of (4) MMM cars. A 1934 PA #0705 (under restoration as we speak) 1934 J 4 (now in a museum in Portugal somewhere) 1934 NB sheet metal ( Larry Long just got this one for his project ) and this 1933 J 2 , all from the same owner. They were supposedly to be bought by a collector in the UK but he either backed out or could not come up with the funds. The car was brought to the states in 1965 or 66 from UK and was still in the shipping crate when I bought her in 96. It is covered up in the back of my shop since I took it out of the crate in 96 ( I still may have the ships manifest papers in a file ). Here are the details as I know them. It is a BRG/black interior, fixed wing car; woods looks to be pretty much original, been painted at least once, original color looks like it might have been cream; interior seats have been replaced and in excellent condition, door panels may be the originals.
Dash facia panel redone in light wood, gages are black face Jaeger's with no clock as I remember; all Hartford shocks are there and mounted; motor & gearbox are still together in the car; NO crashed or beat up/rusty sheet metal, overall very presentable. KNOWN to be missing from memory- Front apron ( I may have one from another J 2 project car I did years ago) 1130A parking lamps missing and replaced with repro 1130 pot metal; wood back deck; steering wheel. The car is burried behind many other MG's so getting pics before the Spring thaw will be almost impossible but I will do the best I can if some is REALLY interested. Yes, I can ship it overseas but will take time for funds to clear, for those that have asked. If you have any other specific questions please feel free to ask, I will do the best I can to get the answer or look at something specific for you. mick
PS- Anybody know Hank Ripperts home address ?
