In 1968 I registered my first MG-TC with The New England MG 'T' Register. The only thing I have left is two photos and the New England MG 'T' Register membership number tag (1389). I always believed that the NEMGTR membership number was the vehicle's serial number, but that number belongs to a mid 1946 TC. Mine was a 1947 vehicle. Does anyone know if NEMGTR keeps records this long or if they reissue membership numbers? One of my greatest sins was to sell that beautiful green MG-TC. What I am hoping to find is the vehicle serial number from my first MG- TC. Thanks for insight and suggestions B.A. "Pockets" Knipe MG-TC 7976

I am typing this on my way to the NEMGT Register annual Noggin and Natter/AGM. I can find the Register number in my copies of TSO and find the car number, and owner, from that document. But then all the computer whizzes, ( not me ) , can probably find the same info in the new CD that the NEMGT Register just produced. The NEMGT Register number has nothing to do with the car number. The NEMGT Register number is simply a sequential number given out when people registered the car with them. In theory, the number was supposed to stay with the car. But some, including myself, transferred the number to a new car when the old car was sold down the river. If you have no joy by Monday, let me know and I will get you the car number. Hi "Pockets": In my youth when I seemed to have more time on my hands, I would go through my old TSOs and check for the new members that had TCs. I then made a list of their Register No. and their TC chassis No. I have you on my list as owning TC 9806 with replacement engine A-476466. Regards Fred Kuntz TC 5087 NEMGTR # 952 Painesville.Ohio

And a glance at the MG-TABC roster shows that that car (with a different engine number) is now owned by Jim Buell in Salinas, CA. Best, Gene

hi Fred - I also started doing this with the T-Register database, but also ran into the problem of numbers moving about. I have TC9806 as now belonging to Jim Buell ocTagonally TCRoger Fred Kuntz wrote:
