[/color] MelMY TC has developed a fast idle of 1500 RPM and adjusting the idle screws has no effect. What do you think is causing the problem. Distributor adjustment? valve adjustment? leak between carbs and manifold? anything else? I have electronic distributor and problem existed before installation . The problem just developed and not after any adjustment or installation of anything new. In what order would you proceed to solve the problem? HELP?

Re: Re :fast idle
I had a similar problem and it was primarily a carb manifold/gasket leak.

Re: Re :fast idle
It is also possible that the shaft return springs have slipped, TC and earlier cars had a pretty mushy return spring assembly which in general gives shaft return issues , also TC bodies are a soft zinc material and the butterfly wears a notch to the throat of the body causing a pretty decent "step" not allowing the butterfly to close, That body also has a tendency for the flange to "bow " and you may get a vacuum leak at the mount gasket.
