Doug, We've had a few TA roadsters and 6 TA Tickfords here. From what I can see, a standard roadster was black paint - not glossy, not pretty, just black. Tickfords were different due to the extra sheet metal welded around the firewall mounting flange (due to larger tub) and vertical aluminum strips folded over the firewall flange from the front of the body tub. These additions required new paint on the firewalls, which was body color as the paint was sprayed after the firewall and tub were assembled together. However, the tool box was masked and remained black, which looks like a dumb, crude mistake nowadays. Has anyone else noticed this?
