I need some help.  My 1949 MGTC radiator shell is in pretty rough shape.  It needs some lead work in places that are very thin and then I can get it re-chromed. Anyone out there know of someone who does this work? Thanks

Gentlemen: Without reservation I highly recommend Walker's Custom Chrome, 2145 Grand Coulee Blvd, Shasta Lake, CA 96019; phone (530) 275 3634. As I cannot tell by your email addresses where you are located, you may have to ship your parts at your expense. When I was restoring my '48 TC several years ago, Walker's used to be located in Vacaville, CA which is about 40 miles west of Sacramento. They moved to Shasta Lake because of the stringent environmental regulations imposed by the city (I was told) and the owner's father had an existing rechroming business in Shasta Lake. Robert, If you are in the Midwest, USA, another top notch source of Chrome plating is Customchrome, in Grafton , Ohio. Hi Robert, Could you confirm to the group which Country you are in so local suppliers can be suggested.  Not sure that lead on a brass shell is correct.  My TB shell was dented and thin from previous rechroming. Derby Plating in the UK   removed the dents and copper plated it to build up thickness before chroming. I have used Graves Plating down in Alabama. They do Concours work and can hammer out dings dents, make major repairs to headlight Buckets and Radiator shells. Great work, service and the people there are quite professional.BruceTC #2721 XPAG #3355 Sent from my iPad

My 1949 MGTC radiator shell is in pretty rough shape. It needs some lead work in places that are very thin and then I can get it re-chromed. Anyone out there know of someone who does this work? Thanks
