TC Clutch Chatter

Post by David Spiegel » Wed Sep 04, 2019 6:22 pm

My TC has developed a noticeable clutch chatter while in reverse gear. No matter how delicate I am on the pedal, it still chatters. Both the clutch plate and release bearing have been replaced and have about 1000 miles on them. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks DaveTC 6551 Sent from Yahoo Mail for iPad

Good chance there s a broken rear gearbox mount (Moss Motors pt/no 410-040)...common problem and the mount can be repaired by aluminum welding. Gene GillamSaucier, MS Sent from my iPad

Agreed, the TC Rear plate breaks often. Welding is OK, but add a steel re-inforcing plate behind the repaired aluminium plate to strengthen the plate. Yes I sell the kit, see attached.

Thanks, Bob
