Any one with a vintage Scintilla Vertex magneto can have same rebuilt or new advance curve installed from USA agent http://www.taylorvertex.com/Unsure about changing from + to -Ground or vs versa, but likely doable. Likely a non XPAG specific Vertex can be rebuilt for XPAG.  I use to have a SV Ford mag back in 50 s but disappeared in many moves. Another interesting thing about Vertex Scintilla mag was that any body  either 4 , 6 or 8 could be made to fit any application by changing the base , I used to buy Scintilla Agriculture  magnetos in UK with a Lucas base and have them reworked to suite MG engines , I also believe the direction of rotation was able to be changed without much issue.
