Gee, Carlyle, that's probably one of the more basic tasks of any restoration. Yes, I have done that more than a few times. Spray can adhesive is the main ingredient; but the more complex part of the job is to get the vinyl evenly laid and being careful to cut the openings for the instruments without creating any gaps once the instruments are installed. It's a painstaking process so take your time. Maybe buy more vinyl than you need in case of mistakes.

Look at my blog on my rebuild and I think I describe and photographed how I did it. I m in a rush now so can t spend time finding it
but I seem to remember it was Nov-Dec time.
