TC tranny

OH NO!  I finished buttoning up the tranny and I think I put a washer in the wrong place???   I take pictures of everything while removing all parts on the car but this one is not clear.  And this may be critical? 

 The best way to explain this is go to Moss TC transmission catalog diagram and look for items 14, 15, 16, & 17, lower center of page, the reverse gear link.  The item in question is number 16 the washer.  Does this washer go between the reverse gear link and the cast iron housing, or between the cast house housing and the exterior castle nut?  My guess now, after the fact, it goes inside the housing and serves as a bearing for the link?  Not sure because I thought it was behind the castle nut when taking everything apart. 

Appreciate your answer from those that also tackled the tranny.

No worries, it goes OUTSIDE behind the castle nut. Looked a two TC G/B, both have washer outside ,
