Mike- Those 'should' be the same as used in vintage motorcycles (my other hobby) to hold the loose headlight lens in the bezel. check ebay, should be several suppliers that specialize in Italian motorcycle parts. ~Mark TC8126 ----- Original Message ----- From:

Subject : [mg-tabc] Lucas m140 or L140 W wire springs
I am in desperate need of the most simplest parts, the W wire springs that hold the glass lens in the rim. I need two sets. Moss doesn t have them (they only have 7 inch for TD s) , Doug doesn t have them. Abingdon doesn t have them. I hate waiting weeks for an order from England. Joe or anyone have some? I would buy them or replace them whatever your preference. I am trying to get my J2 out this weekend. The car came with a beautiful set of Lucas L150 headlamps. They just seem too big for a tiny J2. The correct ones are Rotax or later Lucas L140 s 8 inch. I spent months finding and having repaired original L140 buckets. They are painted body color, I started to make the change and realized I was missing the tabs that receive the knurled screw that holds the rims on. (TA s I believe had them TB and TC have a different method) Nobody has this simple L shape tab, so I made them. But the W springs I can t make. So my plea for help to someone on this side of the Pond. Anybody got some? Mike Leckstein in New Jersey
