Today was the day to pull the radiator and dissemble the shell to figure what had broken causing the slats to flop around. Not surprising, it was several of the studs that had broken away from the shell.

I assume that this is not that uncommon.  Using heat to braze or even silver solder the studs back will surely damage the chrome.  The shell s not that great but at probably 1K$ to re-chrome that s not going to happen.

Anyone tried an epoxy fix?  Any favorites like good old JB Weld?  Any other ideas/suggestions?  I d like to get rid of the tie wraps holding the slats together [img]cid:image001.png@01D36DF4.1D38DCF0[/img]

Attachments :  It's not a grill shell, it's a radiator shell, radiator shells were     used long before the grill was added.
