exu, where did it go?

To all, Rather surprisingly, an 80 year old acquaintance of mine today showed me pictures of her TC she had in the early 50s. She lives in western CT and I think at the time she owned the car was perhaps in southwest CT. Until today I had no idea she was a sports car enthusiast in the past, and we had a nice conversation today about her attendance (as a teenager) at Watkins Glen when it was a road race and Bridgehampton when it was partially dirt. Somebody told her I had TCs, so she brought some pictures of her car to show me. what a pleasant surprise. In the early 50s (time of the pictures) the car is a cream color (well, light color in the B/W photographs) exu, with cycle front fenders, stock rear, and a very oddly cut air cleaner manifold - - - somebody had cut out the center section that connects to the air filter, but left the two "horns" attached to the carbs. Rear bumper appears intact but the front bumper horizontal blade had been removed and the overriders attached directly to the bracketry. Also, the dipswitch/horn was replaced with another gage, and on either end of the dash were extra gages let into the dash. This had all been done by a previous owner, who also overbored the engine with a resultant tendency to burn head gaskets (my acquaintance says she become very good at replacing the head gasket herself, without bonnet removal. She drove the car year-round for several (3 or 4) years before selling it. Anybody know anything about this car? thanks. phil
