Hello Listers,
I happened on a movie the other evening with a TC? which isn't listed in the Internet Movie Cars Database (IMCDB). Nor is the UK Reg (AYV 375) listed with the MGCC TRegister. It is interesting as the setting is England but the car has a front bumper like an EXU (possibly from TD?). Suppose it is still around?
The movie; Youtube - The Man In Black (1950)

This car is not registered with the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency in UK, so it is either not still extant or it has been exported from UJK.

Could be in the back of someones garage waiting to be restored, or they could have used a fake registration number in the film!

Watched the movie "On the Beach" yesterday. Based in Australia after a nuclear war, there are several scenes with various British cars including an Australian Grand Prix. Plenty of horrific crashes.

Just like the car illustrated on the cover of (1954) The Red Car. An EXU with its bumpers. The pic of the movie car appears to have the 7 inch EXU headlights with BPF bulbs removed.

A well-known TC special, the John Edgar Special, was destroyed (intentionally) in that movie. A photo of it's demise is on page four at:

Watched the movie "On the Beach" yesterday. Based in Australia after a nuclear war, there are several scenes with various British cars including an Australian Grand Prix. Plenty of horrific crashes.

Just like the car illustrated on the cover of (1954) The Red Car. An EXU with its bumpers. The pic of the movie car appears to have the 7 inch EXU headlights with BPF bulbs removed.

Hello Listers,
I happened on a
movie the other evening with a TC? which isn't listed in
the Internet Movie Cars Database (IMCDB). Nor is the UK Reg
(AYV 375) listed with the MGCC TRegister. It is interesting
as the setting is England but the car has a front bumper
like an EXU (possibly from TD?). Suppose it is still around?
The movie; Youtube - The Man In Black
(1950)
Best to all,
Bill -

A well-known TC special, the John Edgar Special,
was destroyed
(intentionally) in that movie. A photo of it's
demise is on page
four at:
