Drag link length

Post by Graham Knight » Tue Nov 21, 2017 2:08 am

Dear All, Does anyone have a TA (= TB, TC??) drag link they can measure for length. I have been supplied one which is a couple of inches shorter than the one it is replacing. As usual with my car I am not confident in asserting that mine is correct! Thanks. Graham

Graham

I measured a 1937 TA length as overall from OUTSIDE to OUTSIDE of the drag link ends as 26-3/4 .

Same measurement outside to outside of drag link ends in 27-1/4 for a TC.

Anyway, should tell you what you have??

I too thought they would be the same. Maybe they are, just end adjustments different??

Graham, TA/TC should be about the same length since they have the same 45" track with slight differences in the steering box mount. A track rod several inches smaller might be from an MMM car like the PA with a 42" track.
