Attachments :All, Thanks for all the replies regarding this. I bottled out of heating it and machined it off and then drilled and tapped it and made a new pivot as this - don't like riveting! Still none the wiser whether pressed or cast in, but suspect the latter and feel may be knurled, too. Should the shouldered bolt, with relieved end that locates the dissy in the hole, and the clamp have a washer to firmly grip the clamp? No mention of a washer in the parts book or instructions and I'm happy with what I've done, so just curious! Tony

I think a drop of Loctite on the nut threads  will help getting loose .
