I applied 3M Scotchgard to the top today, after cleaning and brushing first. I taped off all areas (not wanted) and everything went as expected. 3M recommends this treatment yearly. It took 2 cans to do the top and I didn't spray the side curtains. Cabela's and Amazon wanted twice what WalMart charged- $5.22/can. I'll let you know if it works.
