And if it's a 914/6, the engine "noise" is great music. Especially with a twin-pipe sport muffler , or better yet, with a pair of open megaphones bolted to the headers at the track. I've had a '71 914/6 for the past 30 years. Ran it in May at the Hallett Motor Racing Circuit just west of Tulsa in a Porsche Club lapping day and set a new personal lap record while making beautiful music.
